WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Lance Gooden (R-TX) sent a letter to President Trump urging that he instruct Attorney General Barr to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate any irregularities in the 2020 election.

The letter reads, in part: "The American people deserve a definitive resolution to the uncertainty hovering over the outcome of our election, but legitimate questions of voter fraud remain unanswered."

Twice in the past month, Congressman Gooden has joined dozens of House Republicans in asking Attorney General Barr to launch an investigation into this matter.

Congressman Gooden believes the American people deserve a clear and decisive answer to reaffirm their faith in our election integrity. The most effective way to deliver that is the immediate appointment of a Special Counsel.
