Congressman Lance Gooden (R-TX) Applauds Passage of TRIA Reauthorization

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Terrorism Risk Insurance (TRIA) program has received a strong show of support with the bipartisan passage of a seven-year reauthorization bill, of which Congressman Lance Gooden (R-TX) was an original cosponsor. The bill passed by a measure of 385-22 on Monday, November 18.

Congressman Gooden's Statement:

"This program manages the risk of catastrophic damage in a way the private insurance market cannot. This bipartisan reauthorization will provide assurances to the businesses of the booming North Texas economy. I'm pleased to see it receive widespread support from my colleagues and hope to see similar backing in the Senate."
