Summary: Federal funding would support the Texoma Semiconductor Tech Hub through Southern Methodist University, an industry-led regional initiative that will strengthen the United States semiconductor ecosystem through innovation, workforce development, and advanced manufacturing infrastructure. The Texoma Semiconductor Tech Hub will bring together academic institutions, private industry, and regional partners to drive job creation, support high-wage technical careers, and advance cutting-edge technologies in areas such as advanced packaging, photonics, and quantum systems. By establishing critical infrastructure and workforce pipelines in North Texas, this initiative will position the region as a national leader in semiconductor innovation while delivering long-term economic growth and resilience.
