WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Lance Gooden urged the U.S. Department of Justice to launch a full-scale investigation into the 65 Project, a hyper-partisan activist group that has aggressively targeted attorneys for their political affiliations—particularly those who represented or supported President Trump. Rep. Gooden also urged the DOJ to probe similar activist groups, law firms, and other entities that are complicit in using legal actions as a means of political intimidation and persecution.
“President Trump and Attorney General Bondi are fierce advocates for a fair and equal justice system,” Gooden added. “I am confident they will take the appropriate steps to put an end to activist bullies like the 65 Project.” |
