WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Lance Gooden (R-TX) voted against Speaker Nancy Pelosi's amnesty bill for illegal immigrants. The legislation provides a pathway to citizenship for those who came to America illegally, issues green cards to criminals, and incentivizes more illegal immigration while costing taxpayers $35 billion. It passed the House by a vote of 228-197. Congressman Gooden issued the following statement regarding the bill.
Congressman Gooden - "This shouldn’t be confused with helping 'dreamers'. This is amnesty for all and enticement to others to make the journey to our border."
