WASHINGTON, D.C. - The House of Representatives voted Wednesday on Speaker Nancy Pelosi's election overhaul. Congressman Lance Gooden (R-TX) opposed the legislation due to numerous provisions that would weaken election security. The bill passed on a party-line vote of 220-210. He released the following statement after the vote:
Congressman Gooden - "If Speaker Pelosi has her way, the problems we saw in a few states during the 2020 election will become the norm across America. Taxpayer funded campaigns, a ban on voter ID laws, and nationwide ballot harvesting - these are radical ideas specifically designed to reelect Democrats."
