WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Lance Gooden was joined by his colleagues in extending congratulations to President-elect Lai Ching-te and Vice President-elect Hsiao Bi-khim on their recent electoral victory in Taiwan's presidential election.

Congressman Gooden emphasized the significance of Taiwan's democratic process and its role as a beacon of liberty in a region often overshadowed by authoritarianism.

"Taiwan's election is not just a victory for its people but a shining example of democratic values in action.
